The Junior React & Node.js Developer – Application Support & Maintenance is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing existing web applications built with React and Node.js. The role focuses on troubleshooting issues, fixing bugs, implementing minor enhancements, and ensuring application stability and performance while working closely with senior developers, product owners, and support teams.
Provide application support and maintenance for React and Node.js–based applications
Investigate, analyze, and resolve production and non-production issues
Fix bugs and implement small to medium enhancements based on business requirements
Monitor application performance, logs, and error reports
Assist in maintaining and improving backend APIs built with Node.js
Support database operations and basic data troubleshooting
Perform unit testing and assist with integration testing
Follow coding standards, best practices, and documentation guidelines
Work closely with senior developers during debugging, reviews, and deployments
Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Collaborate with QA, support teams, and stakeholders to resolve incidents efficiently
Maintain version control using Git and support release deployments
2-5 years of experience in web application development or application support
Basic to intermediate experience with React.js
Basic experience with Node.js and backend API development
Understanding of RESTful APIs and client–server communication
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design
Basic knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, or similar
Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
Basic understanding of debugging, logging, and performance monitoring
Exposure to Agile/Scrum development environments
Ability to write and maintain simple unit tests
